Legendary Alliance Tee
A wearable love letter to two ancient cultures — designed exclusively for Meymuni.
This oversized box tee is the first drop in an ongoing collaboration between Meymuni Cafe and Dariush Ghaderi, a half-Mexican, half-Iranian visual and tattoo artist based in Mexico City. Hand-illustrated in Dariush's signature line-work style and printed as a full-front DTG design in navy blue on a vintage white heavyweight tee, this piece is as much a work of art as it is a wardrobe staple.
The story behind the design:
At the center of the illustration are two mythological beings intertwined mid-flight — the Simorgh, the ancient Persian benevolent bird of wisdom and healing, and Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent deity of Mesoamerican mythology. Though born on opposite sides of the world, both represent the same universal ideas: the unity of sky and earth, wisdom passed through generations, and the endless cycle of rebirth.
Beneath them rises a mountain — a nod to Tehran and Mexico City, two capitals cradled by mountain ranges. At the base sits a small town, a symbol of any village, neighborhood, or community you'll find across the Global South. Together, the elements tell a story about shared roots, diasporic identity, and the quiet magic of finding your culture reflected in someone else's.
